Chapter 2 - Comic Con Pt. 2

Chapter 2 - Comic Con (Part 2)

Kristen POV

When I woke the last morning, I realised we were in exactly the same position we were in when we fell asleep. Feeling mischievous, I wiggled around slightly, giggling as I felt his member spring to life inside me. Gently trailing my fingers down his chest, I sucked his lip into my mouth smirking as he groaned into my mouth. Resting my head against his forehead I looked directly into his sparkling blue eyes. Glancing down at my finger the events of last night came back to me as I found it hard to keep the smile off my face. Before I had time to protest, Rob pulled himself from within me, as he slid out of bed. Sitting up I pouted slightly, gaining a chuckle from Rob. He’d pay for that later. Reluctantly, I slid out of bed, not bothering to take a shower, as I changed into another Balenciaga outfit. By the time I got myself looking decent, Rob had emerged from the bathroom leaving it free for me to brush my teeth and floss. Finally we were all set to leave. Taking a deep breath, I suddenly found the nerves kick in again.

Rob must have sensed my distress as he wrapped his arms around my waist again, giving me the support I needed. Following his breathing pattern I managed to calm myself down, not bothering to pick up my purse, I doubted I’d need it today. Taking hold of Rob’s hand, he guided me into the elevator as I stayed close to his side as we met up with JB and Dean, standing behind them as we walked out of the hotel lobby into the waiting car. For once there wasn’t very many paparazzi waiting outside the hotel, I guessed most of them were at the Convention Centre waiting for us to arrive.

Once we were settled in the car I reached over and took Rob’s hand squeezing it gently. He was trying to hide it but I knew he was worried about me. He’d never seen me fall apart before, it was one of the reasons I didn’t want him to know what had happened, however I didn’t regret telling him. Now I had support instead of bottling everything inside. During the drive to the Convention Centre I kept hold of Rob’s hand, realising it wasn’t just bringing me comfort but also calming him down. Five minutes later we were pulling up outside the Convention Centre. Looking into Rob’s eyes I took a deep breath letting go of his hand as we stepped out of the car, yet again the paparazzi tried their hardest to push past JB and Dean to get a picture. It seemed they managed this time, but I didn’t care what they got, all that mattered now was promoting our film.

“Well that was eventful.”

“That’s one word for it. I get that they have to get pictures for their story but do they really need to be so vicious.”

“They want to be the first one to get the picture.”

“I know. I guess it’s one thing that I’ll never get used to.”

“It’ll get easier, with time.”

“I don’t mind them taking pictures, it’s all the pushing and shoving that annoys me.”

“I know sweetheart. Just think about the good things we have to look forward to.”

“Mm when do you want to tell people?”

“Soon. Let’s just get today over with first.”

“Sounds like a good idea to me. I’m not hiding my ring though. The media will just have to play the guessing game again.”

“I like the sound of that.”

Linking my fingers around Rob’s hand I found the confidence and strength to get through the day. Taking a last deep breath out, we walked into the function room, meeting up with Stephanie, Mackenzie and Taylor. It felt strange, to know that this would be the last time we would be doing this. Over the past 5 years we had become more than just colleagues, we were now family. As my eyes met Taylor’s I gave him a small smile. Out of everyone I’d miss working with him the most. He’s like my third annoying little brother. Slowly I rested my left hand on Rob’s chest making sure Taylor saw my engagement ring. I didn’t think the kid could smile any more than he usually did but somehow he managed it.

“Congratulations.”

“Thank you. We’re not really telling anyone yet, but your my best friend.”

“We’ve been through a lot together. Don’t worry I’m not going to say anything.”

“After all the promo stuff I think. Straight after this we’re in New York for Rob’s US promos.”

“Sounds hectic.”

“Worth it though.”

“True.”

Suddenly I heard the microphone being turned on, knowing soon we would be walking on to take our seats on the panel. With Rob’s support, I stayed calm as we heard the announcer start to talk. Taking deep breaths, I prayed I would get through this without having another panic attack. Suddenly I felt Rob’s thumb rubbing soothing circles on my hand as he placed a small kiss on my forehead. Before we knew it, we were being told where to stand in order to appear on stage.

“We have the greatest fans in the world hands down. Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Comic Con Panel. And for those of you who don’t wiki is one of the largest online Twilight fan communities. Check it out. So this will be the final appearance for The Twilight Saga Comic Con as Breaking Dawn Part 2 finishes a story that had defined a generation it all began here four years ago, with you the fans and we’re excited to complete this journey with you, by showing more footage, with more special guests than any Twilight Saga panel before. But before we begin the show, we just wanted to take a moment to honour the memory of Gisela, a fan who we lost here two days ago. Gisela will always live in our hearts and memories and we wish her family and friends the best at this difficult time. Okay, so let’s proceed with the show, please welcome to the stage, the three lead stars of the Twilight Saga franchise. Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Next I’d like to welcome someone who every fan has been waiting to meet with great anticipation, Renesmee herself, Mackenzie Foy.”

Turning toward the black curtain I couldn’t help but laugh as Mackenzie ran onstage. Her smile lit up her features as she looked out in front of us toward the fans. When she was older I knew this kid would be a complete professional when it came to interviews. She was taking everything that we had to put up with better than I was. And she was only 11 years old. I was terrified when I was eleven and the cameras were in front of me for the first time.

“That’s enthusiasm right there I like it. And in her first trip back to Comic Con since the first Twilight Panel four years ago. Please give a warm welcome to the author of this incredible Saga and producer of Breaking Dawn Part 2, Stephanie Meyer. And although he wanted to be here with you, director Bill Condon is busy scoring the movie in London. But he did record a special message for you and he has a special surprise. So let’s start that up. Stephanie I’d like to start with you, you know seeing this footage on the screen and with the movie just four months away. How does it feel to be so close to the end of the amazing journey with Breaking Dawn Part 2 and what are you most excited for fans to experience in this last chapter?”

“That’s a lot of questions. Um, watching this right now, I think I was the very most was uh, I wish Bill Condon could have heard you guys reactions; he would have just loved your response. I’m really excited I mean that was fun right? And the rest of the movie is more of this; it’s them bringing to life the characters in such an amazing way. And just the more you get to see them growing into these new roles that they have, I so enjoy that. Which questions did I miss?”

Stephanie looked across the panel table at me before she started to speak again. I noticed Rob fold his arms across the table trying desperately not to reach for my hand as he listened to Stephanie talk. That’s when it suddenly hit me just how much I was going to miss working alongside her.

“What are you most looking forward to the fans experiencing in this last chapter?”

“I’m looking forward to everyone getting to see this lovely lady and this one too. You guys didn’t get to see her today. She’s pretty awesome. But getting to see Kristen as awesome, powerful vampire Bella. It was such a dream for me, it was so cool.”

“Well that’s a perfect sideway because Kristen I was going to ask you the fans have been waiting patiently for four films to see uh your transformation into a vampire. So what was that experience like in this last instalment?”

“Yeah I’ve been waiting too. It felt so good to break her in, to see how fast the car goes you know. I mean like, uh I’ve had a lot of time to look at everyone else’s versions of the vampires that live in this world. And they’re not the ones obviously like Twilight vampires are very unique they’re not like all “vampires.” And uh,”

(Fan) “Beautiful.”

“Thanks man.  Um, everything about her amplified is, everyone’s powers are informed by kind of how they were when they were human, like the cool things about them. I love her; I think she’s the coolest one. Um, so I had fun doing it.”

“And Rob, Edward’s relationship with Bella takes on a new dimension in Breaking Dawn Part 2, now that Bella and Edward are the same temperature. So can you talk about how you approached the role differently from Part 1 to Part 2?”

“Ummm, well I guess he’s kind of constantly being surprised by Bella in the last four movies. But uh he’s even more surprised now because you think that uh, if they’re both the same creature you’d there was at least a little but more understanding of her but he has even less understanding of her. Which is kind of fun, and even like you know, he doesn’t expect that scene you know. You don’t expect her to suddenly, you can predict someone, that she’s going to hurt you, physically but when it actually happens it’s an entirely different thing. It was kind of fun to do.”

“And Taylor, we continue to see this great evolution in Jacob from film to film. So can you talk about how he’s come to terms with Bella as a vampire?”

“Um yeah, I mean it was exciting for me to portray Jacob in this as a whole because Jacob’s goal throughout the whole franchise has been to end up with her and he’s always been stressed and emotional and in this one he really has a huge weight lifted off of his shoulder, and um he’s a little less dramatic in this one, a little more happy. So that was fun to play and for me personally it was just crazy to see, um Kristen play a vampire because she’s been this one thing for so long and she’s done it so well. And for her to just change gears like that and do it in my opinion perfectly it was extremely impressive and I think, well you guys just saw it right there, but she did an amazing job.”

“And Mackenzie, Renesmee is such an anticipated character you must have had a lot of fun working on the movie set with this particular cast of, of this particular film. Can you share with us, maybe your favourite memory from the set?”

“We did a lot of things, we played hand games, we um talked, but, um, I have a lot of memories of the cast but um all of them were pretty cool.”

 “That sums it up right.”

“She’s way cooler than us.”

“What do you think do you guys want to see another clip? Stephanie could you set this one up for us?”

“I don’t think I can. I’m not exactly sure what we’re starting here.”

“Oh really okay.”

“I know.”

“It’s in from the second half of the book.”

“This is when Charlie is going to come over and see me for the first time. But right before so it’s that how do I act human again scene.”

“Perfect.”

After the clip had been shown, Peter, Elizabeth, Nikki, Kellan, Ashlee and Jackson joined us on stage. This was the point in the panel questions I enjoyed, sitting back and watching everyone else being questioned on their journey. After sipping some water, I turned to listen to everything that was about to be said, even though most of it, we had heard numerous times before. Flipping my hair over my shoulder I breathed out in relief as the announcer began talking again.

“Peter Facinelli Next the Cullen Matriarch Elizabeth Reaser, next is the beautiful Rosalie, Nikki Reed, Bella’s excitable brother in law and wrestling opponent Emmett, Kellan Lutz, Bella’s best friend Alice, Ashlee Greene, and everyone’s favourite southern vampire Jasper, Jackson Rathbone. Alright, I think guys have placards in front of you, put them up so everyone can see and then I’m going to throw out a question to our new guests but then I’m going to go to the audience so if you guys want to start queuing up for audience Q&A go for it. So for our new guests here as we near the final chapter in the Saga tell us your favourite memory from this journey? Peter we can start with you and work our way down if you don’t mind?”

“That’s a tough one. Um, they all kind of blue together, the last four years have been such an amazing ride, I’ll take two memories with me through this journey, one is fan events like this, the amazing fans and how you guys support us. With the premieres and comic con, camping out and staying with us through this whole ride. And then um, I feel like I should scream for you, woo, And then two, just the cast, getting to experience them and it’s really like taking a road trip with your family. So you know, just bonding with the cast. They’ve really become like family to me so.”

“Elizabeth how about you?”

“Are you talking about the favourite scene?”

“Or personal experiences from filming, either.”

“It’s hard there are so many. The first movie I think was the most fun and kind of wild and unselfconscious. And also it was scary and weird because how does one play a vampire. There’s also one of my favourite scenes that Peter and I did that actually got cut out of the movie. Was it on the DVD I think yeah. I love that scene too. From Twilight when we have a little make out sess. Um, but it was very sweet. Just seeing this clip, this is the first time we’ve seen these clips I haven’t seen the movie so, I’m just so blown away. I mean, I didn’t think it was possible to pull off like you actually eating a mountain lion. Unbelievable. You’re so great.”

“Nikki.”

“It’s a little intimidating speaking after Elizabeth because she’s so articulate I think um, gosh. To pick something from the films, I don’t think I do because I can’t single out one specific event it’s all kind of I’m too close to it right now. But I think just as people, I’m really sensitive right now because um this is coming to an end so I’m really sensitive. But to watch all of you grow in different ways. I’m looking at you right now just because I um you’ve been through something really cool in the last year. Just to see where everyone has gone and to watch we were kids when we started I know that’s like a weird word to use, but we were all kids and we’re growing into adults and we’re all in different places in our lives and just think it’s really cool to walk away from this growing with people.”

“Kellan.”

“Well to lighten the mood because that was an amazing answer,”

“Have a chocolate kiss.”

“Yes, it’s a kiss. To chorally with a kiss finally kissing my wife.”

“My husband is here somewhere.”

“Paul, I love you, but um yeah I just really enjoyed the whole process it’s been a dream project to work through it’s an honour to work with all these amazing actors and I hope one day I get to work with all of them again.”

“Ashlee.”

“Um, sucks being at the end of this. Yea I think to single out one event is a little difficult, I don’t know if it’s possible because the entire journey has been really amazing and incredible to go through with all these people and to have a kind of family at the end of it. To still all really care about each other is a great thing. And you know I feel like every year is a different thing and going to the premieres and meeting the fans and being able to experience something like this with you guys has been a really cool thing.”

“And Jackson.”

“I think one of my favourite moments from the films, was finally getting to play Jasper when he was human and about to be turned in the whole civil war regalia was really fun for me and during the wars, I loved that. But in terms of the entire production, getting to work with some wonderful people from this amazing book series that just struck a chord with the hearts of millions and millions of fans around the world is just phenomenal. And this is my first Comic Con and this is beautiful, the view right now is absolutely phenomenal thank you so much for coming out and supporting us once again. We have the greatest fans in the world. Thanks to them, thank you.”

Q&A

Once Jackson finished talked, Rob, myself, Mackenzie, Taylor and Stephanie were ushered out of the function room, heading straight into the room next door where the fans had now gathered to ask us questions alongside the press. Something told me this wasn’t going to be boring. I absolutely loved answering fans questions. Although sometimes I had to admit I did get a little distracted by Rob. Not that anyone complained, they were used to us losing concentration. We didn’t have much time backstage before we were being welcomed onstage.

“Let’s start with Stephanie Meyer, next we have our new cast member Mackenzie Foy, who plays Renesmee, and then we have Taylor I believe, Taylor, next up we have Rob and then finally Bella, Kristen Stewart.”

Interviewer: “This is a question for Taylor, Rob whoever um, I’m wondering if this is the movie when Edward and Jacob finally become friends or even learn to love each other as family?”

Taylor: “We’ve always had that relationship right?”

Rob: “Yeah I give him, I sacrifice my daughter to him.”

Taylor: “That is love.”

Rob: “This one is a love story between me and Jacob.”

Taylor: “Yeah I think it is a little bit different the relationship between all three of us, because it’s always been this complicated triangle and now it’s like a square. But um no it’s become much less complicated.”

 “The perfect circle.”

Taylor: “There you go I like that one better.”

Me: “Family.”

Interviewer: “This goes out to any of you, but um, for you guys is this a bitter sweet ending now that it’s the final instalment and you know this is your last time together at Comic Con. How has it been for all of you?”

“Um, yeah it is funny, if you told me tomorrow that we had to reshoot some scene that I wasn’t happy with I would be so happy I would start vibrating, because I do really enjoy living in this world. And we got to do it for four years, and so I put everything I have into it and I can say the same for these guys. When you do that, even though it’s kind of a bummer to walk away I look back on it so fondly that I hold it, it’s something that I’ll always have. And I’m really thankful for that. Someone just told me that Stephanie you told them to apologise to me. Like tell Kristen I’m sorry you’re ridiculous. What are you talking about? I’m so thankful you have no idea.”

Stephanie: “The question was about you guys lives changing and I said I can imagine on a daily basis it’s a lot more annoying than positive and so that was the apology. I’m sure it’s pretty annoying right every day.”

Rob: “Very, but like that’s not really to do with other people.”

 “He’s very irritable.”

Rob: “I hate going to the bathroom.”

Interviewer: “Hi Scott Hoover with People magazine. Stephanie just mentioned that your lives have changed as part of this whole experience I’m curious how you feel personally altered from when you all started. From the job itself and everything that’s surrounded it. How you’ve changed and how you’ve come out of the experience.”

 “Err, alright.”

Interviewer: You don’t have to go too deep.”

“Let’s do it. I’m so deep. Okay, um, you start a project to finish it, it’s like this really charged experience and it’s almost too much and that’s the only way it feels good and right and true. And uh, I feel very challenged even though if Stephanie suddenly wrote another book I would be like okay let me read it immediately I think if I can just keep that feeling, with other experiences. How did it change me, I don’t know maybe it just affirmed as to why I like to do what I do, it’s like you don’t always have to do an indie movie to feel like, your intimately controlling it with a few people that your connected with creatively do it on a bigger scale. Maybe it’s changed my mind on that level. Um, but as a person, I could not begin to answer that question right now. It’s so loaded.”

Interviewer: I was going to ask you guys this is Julie from accesshollywood.com, Do you remember your first impressions of each other when you met all those years ago, that really first moment when you looked at each other. What did you think of each other, Stephanie too when you met these guys?”

Stephanie: “For me the first time I saw them was memorable because I was meeting them for cast dinner and they were coming from a shoot in costume so the first time I met them they were all dressed up as my imaginary friends and it was one of the most bizarre experiences of my life. But it was so cool to see everybody, like this is what they look like, it’s real. It was really really cool. It was exciting because they all looked awesome and I was so excited to start working with them.”

“I liked his pants. Seriously. Taylor it’s so strange like you were a kid when I met you and then after New Moon you literally weren’t a kid anymore. So the first time I met you was very strange, I was like really. I fought for it actually, I knew with both of them it’s hard to say in interviews because I myself can’t define it sometimes you meet people in life and your like, and we should make stuff together. We will do good. Let’s like you know utilise whatever this energy is, passing between us, let’s do it. And I had that with both of them.”

Interviewer:  Hey guys Renee from Australia what was the one new thing you discovered about each other during this film?”

Taylor: “Between each other?”

Interviewer: “Yeah working with each other I mean it’s the last film you’ve worked together for a while.”

Stephanie: “How do you find something new after that long. The one thing that was new for me was seeing Kristen for the first time in the new Bella. That was amazing. That was a really cool thing to discover about her. Everybody else is just the same now.”

Taylor: “We were all boring.”

Stephanie: “Totally.”

Taylor: “I’ll talk about that, Kristen’s done such a good job through this whole franchise.”

As Taylor was talking, I suddenly dropped the water bottle bending down to pick it up, the interviewers automatically started to laugh, Rob’s head snapped in my direction the smile hard to hide.

Rob: “I thought everyone was laughing at Taylor I was like what?”

 “Oh man.”

Taylor: “She’s I mean, at playing the old Bella, perfect, awkward, clumsy, and relatable and now all of a sudden she’s transformed into this sexy vampire. Like a completely different person. It was very impressive.”

Stephanie: “Honestly getting to see Bella so powerful was like a dream for me. It was amazing.”

“Feeling like err wow I am a sports car let’s break it in.  The first hunt has always been my favourite especially in the book, my favourite part, like break her in and let’s see what she can do. Really cool.”

Interviewer: “I’m from Japan, as you know we have huge fan crowd of Robert so let me ask you became, I mean Edward became the most favourite vampire in the world so you also became, the hottest, sexiest actor in the world, so are there any similarities between you and Edward?”

Rob: “Are there any what sorry?”

Taylor: “I think she said your hot and sexy.”

 “Sexy.”

Interviewer: Are there any similarities between you and Edward?”

Rob: Um, I was so excited for this one.”

“So the question was what are the similarities between him and Eddie.”

Rob: “Um, I don’t know. I don’t know what do you think?”

 “Come on.”

Rob: “I really can’t tell anymore. After the first, I remember me and you the first arguing with you tons about.”

Stephanie: “You sat there and argued with me about what Edward thinks and feels. It was actually amazing. It was awesome.”

Rob: “After you’ve done three movies you kind of get to a point where you’re like there’s a distinctive understanding of it, so you don’t really know where you end and the character begins after a while so I don’t know. I mean there are certain things where you don’t know if it’s you thinking cos I mean I’ve spent so  much time in Vancouver it’s like Edward wouldn’t do that, if someone asks you why you don’t know why, cos I wouldn’t do it.”

Interviewer: Hi I’m John from E! Online it’s kind of crazy because the last movie hasn’t even come out yet, but there’s been a lot of speculation about possibly rebooting the Twilight franchise so I was kind of wondering on the whole what your thoughts were on that and for the actors, what are on someone else possibly taking on these characters you’ve made iconic?”

 “Love that expression.”

Rob: “I think it would be amazing. I would love to see that. I would rip them.”

Taylor: “It would be interesting.”

Rob: “I pity the person who takes over my part. I would make a campaign against them.”

“But at the same time I think what’s really great about this and the reason finishing the reason turning that last page is, is what it is. You just have a faith it’s done. It’s like okay they can have it now. Maybe this is just a very insider’s perspective because I played her, if anything else happened, I swear to god, I’m like please leave them alone. You know what I mean, let them, they figured it out leave them, and I think that by the end of the movie it’s so like abundantly satisfying and sweet and ideal and like.”

Rob: “Yeah.”

“It feels good. It should end but like, Steph I’m down.”

Rob: “You just contradicted yourself. But I would definitely do it.”

“I’m open to the idea, I’d be really curious to see what it was.”

Stephanie: “It would be really interesting, you know it 20 years right, that’s right.”

Taylor: “There you go.”

Stephanie: “But I do pity the person who tries to step into these roles it’s not going to go well for them I can imagine, you know. This is what is love. And it wouldn’t be the same. It would be interesting, but it would be so hard.”

Rob: “What would you write if you wrote a sequel?”

Stephanie: “What would I write if what?”

Rob: “If there was another one.”

Stephanie: “Bella’s story is definitely told. Like you said, it’s final, back in the day when I was never going to stop writing about vampires there’s a reason why this lovely lady was created.”

“What am I thinking. We have her right here.”

Stephanie: “It’s funny, because everyone was like oh I just wanted Bella to have a baby, no I was creating a new era. That’s what she is. Twenty years.”

Rob: “What do you think about Edward and Bella get divorced and it’s like a Mr and Mrs Smith thing.”

Stephanie: “So who comes out of that alive?”

Rob: “That’s the whole thing they can’t die.”

Stephanie: “Someone’s going to die right.”

“I could totally rip your head off.”

Stephanie: “I think my money’s on Bella.”

Rob: “Yeah. But it’s like, yeah.”

“Okay what are we doing? What are we doing right now?”

Interviewer: “Jeremy Parrsin from Reals. Rob we remember four years ago whenever it was the very first Comic Con you came out of hall H visibly shaken by the experience with the fans. Compare Comic Con then, to Comic Con now in terms of your experiences through all these years.”

Rob: “The first one was genuinely frightening because I had any, I don’t think any of us had experienced any crowd that large it’s strange but then you kind of get used to it surprisingly quickly it’s weird and you have like a persona that develops in front of a bunch of people and it’s different specifically with fans of Twilight there’s a certain mood which comes out but err I think this is fun. Comic Con is where you have 6,000 people it’s kind of like one of the big premieres the one in LA there’s like 10,000 people or something.  But um, that’s just walking around in a haze screaming at you. This there is some sort of element of show there is a back and forth a little bit. It’s way more fun. When you turn up to a premiere it’s exercise, it’s doing a marathon basically but this is something to gain.

Rob POV

The interviews with press seemed to take forever, once we got to the final question I was eager to escape, I knew Kristen felt the same way, by her body language, the entire time we had been answering questions she had faced me. I knew from experience she did this when she felt uncomfortable in a situation. Taking hold of her hand, we walked out of the function room, first, the minute we were outside Kristen clung onto the back of my shirt burying her head into my shoulder. Rubbing soothing circles on her back, I tried to calm her down. I knew later we would have to be in front of the cameras again to take photographs for the press, however right now we were due to meet up with Josh Horowitz for an MTV News interview.

I knew Kristen wasn’t going to be letting go of me anytime soon, as I wrapped my arms around her waist I started walking toward the next interview room, thankfully Josh wasn’t as strict as the press we had just left, and he treated us like friends instead of property. It didn’t take long for us to arrive, Josh was already waiting for us as we entered the room, and I was relieved to see the set up was comforting yet still professional. Walking toward our seats, I positioned myself on the stool, helping Kristen sit down, closely followed by Taylor.

Josh: “Hey guys. I feel like I’ve been saying this it’s bittersweet it’s the last time we’ll all get together.”

Taylor: “I know.”

“That is not true.”

Josh: “Can we have a movie night every week or something?”

“You’ve never invited us over. This is all for show, he’s just pretending like he wants to hang out with us.”

Josh: “As soon as the cameras are off, off the stage.”

“You just turn around and we’re like ‘Oh you’re done talking to us now’.”

Josh: “So not true. I know it’s been a long day for you. Does it feel like a weird day because Comic Con is where it started in some ways. Does it feel like this is the beginning of the end of the road? Or is it a marker in a way this event?”

Taylor: “I think it is. Coming to this stage is a little weird for me because it did all start here I don’t know, four years ago.”

“Yeah.”

Taylor: “Yea and this is coming to a close so it’s a little strange it’s weird.”

Josh: “Have you guys gone through your therapy made your peace moving on from Twilight or is it your still waiting for the call to return to Vancouver or wherever to do another one?”

“For some reason I’m just not answering any of your questions.”

Josh: “Kristen save him.”

“Um what was the question?”

Josh: “Let’s all just giggle and laugh at each other.”

Taylor: “That’s pretty much what we do.”

Josh: “I guess I was going to say like has it set in or are you still waiting for a call from Bill Condon or Stephanie saying.”

“We’re still getting them. It’s a lot of stuff we never really stop doing Twilight for the year.”

Taylor: 2It’s not over yet that’s for sure.”

Kristen: “Me and Bill were just doing voice over I’m not finished yet. It’s very strange.”

Josh: “Does it feel like obviously Breaking Dawn Part 1 had so much in it the fans were looking forward to you ticked off a lot of those big boxes from the wedding, the honeymoon, the imprinting, Breaking Dawn Part 2 has plenty obviously so what are the big moments that you feel the fans are going to go crazy for in Breaking Dawn Part 2? I mean Bella, come on.”

Kristen: “Yes! I’ve arrived.”

Josh: “Is that the first line of the film?”

Kristen: “No, but similar. I think the first hunt you know being able to physically, it’s like breaking a car in, and wow look what I’ve got. I think it’s going to be so cool, people are going to really dig it. We went back and did more to make it even cooler.”

Josh: “We can’t speak about this impartially but seeing her as the vampire Bella that’s got to be a treat for you guys. It’s got to be a treat for audiences yeah?”

“It’s interesting.”

Without looking where I was lifting the microphone I accidentally hit my mouth, laughing slightly hoping that it would go unnoticed. Of course, I should have known Kristen would notice, she noticed everything.

Kristen: “Did you just hit yourself in the face? Wow.”

“The interesting thing as well is she doesn’t play, you’re kind of used to the vampires behaving a certain way and then when Kristen starts doing it, it feels fresh to her to do it and also seeing the little differences with what she decided to do with the transformation.”

Kristen: “And the movie has now been I’ve said this before, you see every experience is through her and now that her eyes are very, very different eyes the movie’s changed, the setting is different the world that it lives in is entirely different. It’s really cool.”

Josh: “Kristen have you introduced Fifty Shades now I’ve given it to you are you reading it to your buddies here? Are you all reading it together in a book club?”

Kristen: “That would be disgusting.”

“I sit there and lick the pages.”

Josh: “You  never got to do your Best Movie Kiss speech do you want to do it now?”

“Oh to be honest I think it was more Kristen’s best kiss anyway. She’s always just kissed me I just receive. I just receive pecks.”

Josh: “Stephanie is coming by in a few minutes if she announces live here today guess what guys.”

 “I’m going to kiss you.”

Josh: “Guess what guys, I have an idea for three more books. Would you laugh, or would you cry or would you just like have a heart attack?”

“That would be really funny if we just started laughing, she is a writer, it would be awesome. It would be cool. I’d genuinely be stunned if she found out a way to develop it afterwards. What? I’m serious.”

Josh: “Have you guys seen On The Road by the way?”

“Yeah three times.”

Josh: “She’s naked in it.”

Kristen: “What? Have you?”

“No twice. I thought I saw it three times for some reason.”

Josh: “Alright guys thank you so much for stopping by a real honour and a pleasure, we’ll do this at least a couple more times for real and then and then we’re going to do it at movie night every week you’re officially invited.”

Kristen: “Oh good I feel so much better about these conversations now they’re real. We get to maintain this.”

Josh: “Kristen I swear/”

Kristen: “I feel so much better now.”

“Next time we do this we have to have it on the monitor so see ourselves because I can’t concentrate without being able to see. I look fat. We need to redo this whole thing.”

Home Sweet Home

The minute the interview with Josh ended, I could instantly tell just by looking into Kristen’s eyes she was ready to leave, and if I was truthful with myself, I wanted to be anywhere but here. I don’t think Kristen realises just how proud I am of her getting through today the way she has, however I knew if I’d have been placed in the second grouping this morning, she wouldn’t have been as successful in holding herself together. After saying goodbye to the rest of the cast, JB and Dean walked with us to the car, making sure to get us passed the paparazzi and back to the hotel in record time. Once we  had entered our hotel room, the mask slipped from her face and her emotions ran free again. Taking a deep breath, I wrapped my arms around Kristen feeling her breathing hitch as she tried to calm herself down.

“Do you want to go home?”

“Actually, can we go see Mom and Dad for a few days. We can tell them the good news.”

“Of course we can. Just remember, I’m not going anywhere.”

“I know baby.”

Alright, let’s get packed and get the flight home.”

“Can’t wait. I didn’t know interviews could be so tiring. Worth it though.”

“You are one of the strongest people I know. You proved that today.”

“I honestly don’t know how I managed it. It’s just a good thing I talk when I’m nervous.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Five Minutes Later

It hadn’t taken long to  organise a private jet. I’d had enough of paparazzi for one day. For the first time in two days I hadn’t felt on edge. My fingers absently ran through Kristen’s hair as she slept. It felt strange it being just the two of us, since I’d arranged a private jet to take us to Sherman Oaks, I’d given JB and Dean a few days off. As Kristen slept, I thought through everything she’d told me about her time in London, and everything that animal had done to  her. It broke my heart to hear her say she thought I’d leave her if she told me what had happened. There wasn’t anything he could do that would take me away from her. I was brought out of my thoughts by the plane lowering onto the Tarmac. Reluctantly, I shook Kristen awake grabbing our carryon bags from the seats opposite.

We were met at the arrivals gate by Jules, who’d agreed to pick us up. She seemed excited to finally having Kristen and me staying with them for a while. It had been a few years since we’d had a gap in our schedule long enough to visit and I knew how close Kristen was with her mother. I could see why she wanted to come home for a while. After everything she’d been through going back to LA would be filled with waiting paparazzi. That was the one thing she didn’t need right now. However I was determined to give Kristen the stability she needed. No one would ever hurt her again, if they tried then they would have one hell of a fight on their hands. I couldn’t wait to make her Mrs Kristen Pattinson.
